Department Celebrated the Nation’s 250th Anniversary

Garden City, N.Y. — July 4 — In honor of Independence Day and the 250th anniversary of the United States, the Garden City Fire Department, located at 347 Stewart Ave., joined towns throughout. The celebration honored the country's past while showcasing the ongoing commitment of emergency responders and firefighters who stayed on duty during the vacation.



Residents were urged by department officials to observe local fireworks laws, keep grills away from buildings, and stay vigilant about potential fire threats in order to celebrate safely. The yearly celebration honored the customs that have bolstered American communities for generations while also reflecting the department's continued dedication to community service, fire prevention, and public safety.
