Franklin Square, N.Y. — June 23 — The yearly Junior Firefighter Officer Installation Ceremony was held by the Department Franklin Square Munson FD, 841 Liberty Place, to honor the department's youth volunteers and leadership. Daniel Petruzzo, a junior firefighter captain, other junior members, and program advisors were recognized for their commitment, training, and service throughout the course of the year.

The ceremony, which celebrated the installation of new junior officers, was attended by department officers, local politicians, families, and community supporters. In order to prepare participants for future volunteer work, the Junior Firefighter Program continued to offer members practical training, leadership chances, and departmental operations experience. The advisers who helped steer and mentor the program's ongoing development were also honored at the yearly event.
