Gorham, N.H. — June 30 — At a ceremony attended by department members and their families, Gorham Fire & EMS honored the careers and retirements of Assistant Chief Clinton "Joe" Savage Sr. and Advanced Emergency Medical Technician Diane Holmes. In 1983, Holmes started her career in public safety, responding to several emergency calls while assisting with community activities, fundraising, and training. Savage started working in 1983 as well.

He later obtained certifications as a Firefighter I and Career Level before serving as assistant chief and overseeing many emergency operations. Their decades of commitment, leadership, and service to locals and guests were acknowledged by the department. Their careers demonstrated the enduring dedication and professionalism that keep the fire and emergency medical services strong.
