Firefighters Matt Blood and Aidan Linnane received recognition from the Ayer Fire Department after completing the Call/Volunteer Firefighter Training Program at the Massachusetts Firefighting Academy.

Recruit Class 126 consisted of firefighters from various Massachusetts agencies, including Blood and Linnane. Recruits underwent classroom instruction, live-fire training, and hands-on training covering fire suppression, search and rescue, ladder operations, water supply, hazardous materials response, and firefighter safety during the 240-hour program.

Both firefighters were welcomed as nationally certified firefighters prepared to serve the Ayer community, and department leaders congratulated them on reaching the milestone.
