Hampton Fire-Rescue praised locals and guests for contributing to the success and safety of the community's July 4 America 250 Independence Day celebration.

In order to offer emergency coverage throughout the holiday celebrations and fireworks display, firefighters stayed on duty all evening. Those heading home were urged by department representatives to drive carefully, keep an eye out for emergency vehicles, and make wise decisions.
