Little Compton Fire Department Added New Command Vehicle

Little Compton, R.I. — July 9 — After equipping its new Car 1 with emergency lighting, communications equipment, and other response gear, the Little Compton Fire Department put it into operation. In the event of an emergency, the chief's 2026 Chevrolet Tahoe will act as a mobile command post. The department, which is located at 60 Simmons Road, offers mutual aid, emergency medical response, fire suppression, rescue, and fire prevention to the local community.


By enhancing on-scene coordination and communications during emergencies, the addition enhances incident command capabilities. The department's ongoing investment in dependable equipment to assist firefighters and safeguard the community was demonstrated by the delivery on July 9.
