West Burke Fire Department Marked Independence Day

West Burke, Vt. — July 4 — While commemorating the country's 250th anniversary on Independence Day, the West Burke Fire Department remained ready to respond to emergency calls. The department continued to serve West Burke and the surrounding villages with fire suppression, rescue assistance, mutual help, and public safety services while operating out of 42 VT-5A. Firefighters advised locals to test smoke alarms before to family get-togethers, avoid combustible goods near sources of ignition, and attend professionally run fireworks shows.
Additionally, the department encouraged households to check their home escape plans and dial 911 in case of an emergency. The department's ongoing dedication to safeguarding the community and encouraging responsible and safe holiday celebrations was demonstrated by the July 4 observance.
