Lower Waterford, VT. — July 4 — While commemorating the country's 250th anniversary on Independence Day, the Waterford Volunteer Fire Department remained ready to respond to emergencies. The department continues to provide Waterford and the neighboring villages with public safety services, emergency medical assistance, fire protection, and mutual help while operating out of 2661 Duck Pond Road.

Firefighters advised locals to inspect smoke alarms before to holiday get-togethers, keep a safe distance from pyrotechnics, and attend professionally run fireworks shows. Families were also advised by the government to examine their home escape plans and to report any emergencies right away. The department's ongoing dedication to safeguarding the community and encouraging responsible and safe holiday celebrations was demonstrated by the July 4 observance.
