Ryegate Fire Department Marked America's 250th Anniversary

South Ryegate, Vt. — July 4 — During Independence Day celebrations, the Ryegate Municipal Fire Department joined locals and guests in commemorating the United States' 250th anniversary. While the community came together for parades, ceremonies, and family-friendly events commemorating the country's establishment, firefighters were on call throughout the holiday. Communities throughout Vermont commemorated the semiquincentennial with celebrations of regional customs and American history.


The agency expressed gratitude to locals, guests, and mutual aid partners for contributing to a safe holiday. The public's cooperation with emergency responders made the Fourth of July celebration a success and demonstrated the department's ongoing dedication to safeguarding the Ryegate community while jointly commemorating the country's historic milestone.
