Pittsburgh, PA. — July 4 — The Pleasant Valley Volunteer Fire Company Station 217, situated at 152 Kittanning Pike, took part in local celebrations honoring the 250th anniversary of American freedom. Throughout the festival, a department engine represented the fire service and participated in the local parade with patriotic decorations.
Firefighters welcomed locals and assisted in honoring the Declaration of Independence's signing in 1776. Holiday celebrations also provide a chance to encourage fireworks safety and improve ties between the community and emergency personnel. The department's ongoing dedication to community involvement, public service, and patriotism was demonstrated by the celebration.
