On July 7, Belleville Fire Department personnel finished their monthly training, which focused on land-based water rescue operations.
In order to help victims during water rescue situations while keeping rescuers securely on shore, firefighters trained the deployment and precise throwing of rope rescue bags. The practical exercise strengthened water rescue methods and readiness for situations involving rivers, lakes, and other waterways.
