Presto, PA. — June 21 — A number of fathers with the Presto Volunteer Fire Department spent a portion of Father's Day at the station performing regular tasks and staying prepared for emergency calls, while many families celebrated the holiday at home. Their dedication demonstrated how many volunteer firefighters manage to balance public duty, professions, and family obligations.

The majority of firefighters in the United States are still volunteers, who play a crucial role in responding to emergencies in local communities all around the nation. Department representatives praised firefighter fathers for their ongoing service and acknowledged their commitment. Additionally, the department sent Father's Day greetings to emergency services and fathers in the community.
