Rennerdale, Pa. — June 22 — Allegheny Mountain Rescue Group (AMRG) instructors conducted urban and wilderness search and rescue training for members of the Rennerdale Volunteer Fire Department and Oakdale Hose Company firefighters. Search strategies, collaboration, and rescue operations used in both remote and developed locations during emergencies and missing person occurrences were reviewed in the session.

Firefighters gained real-world experience and improved communication with other departments through training with AMRG, a local volunteer search and rescue group. Regular joint training, according to department officials, enhances operational preparedness, fosters mutual aid alliances, and better equips responders to safeguard Collier Township residents and those in nearby areas.
