Pittsburgh, PA. — July 4 — Firefighters welcomed guests at the Snack Shack during the day's events and the nighttime fireworks at Kiwanis Park, where the Department Sharps Hill VFD, 503 Berner St., took part in the community's Independence Day celebration. Residents had the chance to meet local firemen at the event and discover more about the department's role in community safety.

Firefighters also preached emergency preparedness and firework safety because holiday celebrations were likely to draw sizable crowds. Throughout the Independence Day holiday, the annual celebration united families, guests, and first responders while showcasing the department's continued dedication to fire safety, community involvement, and public service.
