On July 4, East Taylor Township Volunteer Fire Company members took part in the City of Johnstown's America 250 Parade.

New parade banners promoting the 2027 Cambria County Regional Firefighters Association Convention were introduced by Station 17 at the ceremony. The department intends to display these banners on its equipment during the upcoming year. In addition to commemorating the country's 250th anniversary, the banners served to increase awareness of the impending regional fire service event.

As preparations continue, more details regarding the 2027 convention will be released, according to department officials.
