Upper St. Clair Firefighters Completed Rope Rescue Training

Upper St. Clair, PA. — June 29 — After a weekend of classroom instruction and practical exercises, twenty-one students finished their training as Rope Rescue Technicians with the Upper St. Clair Volunteer Fire Department. Participants in the workshop were better equipped to exhibit their technical rescue operations knowledge and practical skills in the next Pro Board certification exam.


Rope systems, rescue methods, and safe operating procedures utilized in difficult emergency situations were all covered in the training. The department, which was headquartered at 2001 Washington Road, continues to provide technical rescue preparation and advanced firefighter education. The initiative demonstrated the department's dedication to keeping skilled workers ready to react to specialized rescue situations in a safe and efficient manner.
