Northfield, N.J. — July 10 — Robert "Bobby" Reider, a probationary firefighter with the Malaga Fire Company, was acknowledged by the City of Northfield Volunteer Fire Company #1 as having died while performing his duties. On June 27, Reider, 23, passed away from injuries he received in a car accident while responding to a fire emergency. He joined the department in 2018 as a junior firefighter and finished Fire 1 training in 2022.
