Cayuga, NY - Members of the Cayuga Fire Department continued their auto extrication training with a second session at the Aurelius Fire Department’s West Station.

Crews began by working with hand tools to reinforce fundamental techniques before transitioning to gas-powered hydraulic jaws carried on Engine 1. The hands-on training allowed members to build proficiency and confidence with the equipment used during vehicle rescue operations.

The session further strengthened the department’s readiness and capability in handling complex extrication incidents.
