This article is a direct street report from our correspondent and has not been edited by the 1st Responder newsroom.

Located just north of downtown Tulsa on Route 66 the station is considered the welcome wagon to the city via "The Mother Road" Several years ago, the Tulsa Fire Department began a project to embrace the history of the Mother Road at their fire station in east Tulsa. Originally known as Tulsa Fire Station 30, the station was rebranded in 2020 to Tulsa Fire Station 66 as a nod to their location on Route 66. Along with the new name came a new logo and the slogan “Keepers of the Mother Road,” proudly displayed on their fire trucks.
