Egg Harbor Township, N.J. — June 12 — Along with Cardiff Volunteer Fire Company and Bargaintown Volunteer Fire Company, the Department Scullville Volunteer Fire Company, located at 1708 Somers Point Road, took part in LEAD DAY at Dr. Joyanne D. Miller School. Firefighters explained how the equipment supports everyday emergency response while showcasing engines, rescue tools, and safety gear.

Students learned about fire safety, emergency preparedness, and the duties of volunteer firefighters while touring the equipment and asking questions. Students had a better awareness of the cooperation and training needed to protect residents throughout Egg Harbor Township, and the event improved ties between the school community and local emergency services.
