On June 27, firemen Hannah Barton and Jordan Watson received recognition from the Goffstown Fire Department for their graduation from the New Hampshire Fire Academy recruit school.

Barton and Watson obtained the training and certificates required to start working as firemen after finishing the academy's nine-week recruit program. In order to prepare recruits for emergency response, the curriculum includes classroom education, practical skill training, and physical fitness activities.
