Rumney Fire Department Responds to 40 Calls in June

According to the department's monthly activity summary, the Rumney Fire Department handled 40 service requests in June.


Twenty-one EMS events, four fire alarms, three mutual aid responses, three transformer fires, three reports of downed trees or wires, two outside fires, two carry-outs involving injured hikers, one complaint of smoke in a building, and one service call were among the calls.


In addition to emergency responses, two members participated in a live burn exercise and firefighters checked the town's operational dry hydrants during monthly training. In addition, Fire Chief Hacker completed three habitation inspections, four gas and oil inspections, and a code enforcement course.
