On July 7, firefighter Collin Roberts received recognition from the East Killingly Fire Department for earning his Firefighter 1 certification.

In order to prepare Roberts for inside structural firefighting operations, the certification needed a great deal of classroom education, practical training, and skills. According to department authorities, the achievement is a testament to his devotion to serving the community, hard work, and dedication.

Roberts was welcomed as one of the East Killingly Fire Department's newest certified firemen and congratulated on accomplishing the milestone.
