Crystal River, FL - Citrus County Fire Rescue crews responded to an unusual call after seven ducklings became trapped inside a roadside storm drain.

Working alongside Citrus County Sheriff’s Office Animal Control, firefighters removed the drain grate and safely rescued each duckling while the mother remained nearby.

All seven ducklings were reunited with their mother, and the flock safely left the area. Officials say the incident is a reminder that service extends beyond emergencies, with crews ready to assist whenever needed.
