Scituate, RI - North Scituate Fire Department crews conducted hands-on extrication training, using hydraulic rescue tools to cut apart a vehicle during a simulated crash scenario.


The evolution focused on proper tool selection and operation, vehicle stabilization, controlled cutting techniques, and creating safe access to potential patients. Crews also emphasized scene safety, communication, and coordination throughout the operation.


Training like this ensures firefighters are prepared to efficiently and safely handle serious motor vehicle collisions involving trapped occupants.
