The Ridgewood Professional Firefighters FMBA Local 47's three platoons finished their yearly SCUBA training at Graydon Pool on June 11. While land-based firefighters received training in managing dive operations, maintaining safety lines, and utilizing the AquaEye underwater sonar instrument during search procedures, department divers rehearsed underwater rescue techniques. Despite the rarity of such accidents, the annual practice concentrated on keeping prepared for water catastrophes.
