Photo by RON JEFFERSThe highly motivated North Hudson F.D. cooking team participated in Union City High School's first annual cook off contest, in May. Culinary students competed against the North Hudson FD and Union City PD teams. The fire department members had custom cooking shirts made with a special fire department cooking patch, which included crossed cooking knives! The students won the overall contest, with the firefighters coming in second and the police in third place. As a point of information, all participants were very good cooks, and they all worked hard in the kitchen.
