Melanie Monastra received congratulations from the Colesville Fire Company on June 15th for finishing her final assessment at the SUNY Broome Public Safety Training Academy.

After months of classroom teaching, practical training, and assessments, officials said Monastra fulfilled the standards of Class 682. Her accomplishment enhances the police's emergency response skills, and department commanders acknowledged her diligence and hard work throughout the academy.

Additionally, the department congratulated Class 682 graduates and wished them continued success and safety as they start their fire service careers.
