Memorial Wall Pays Tribute to Retired FDNY World Trade Center Responders

The New York City Fire Department (FDNY) honored retired firemen who took part in the rescue and recovery activities after the World Trade Center attacks by holding a series of dedication ceremonies at FDNY Headquarters in Brooklyn starting on June 9.


According to officials, the agency presented a new World Trade Center Retired Responders Memorial Wall, with ceremonies honoring one of New York City's five boroughs every day of the week. Family members, friends, and FDNY employees came together to honor those whose sacrifice and devotion have had a long-lasting effect on the department.
