This article is a direct street report from our correspondent and has not been edited by the 1st Responder newsroom.

Bridgewater, N.J. — June 16 — The Country Hills Volunteer Fire Company participated in a cooperative training exercise centered on mutual aid operations with firemen from every Bridgewater Fire District #3 company. To increase familiarity with equipment used during emergency responses, members from Country Hills, Green Knoll Fire Department, and North Branch Volunteer Fire Company examined each other's gear.

In order to strengthen their collaboration and firefighting abilities, crews also stretched hose lines and performed water-flow drills. Frequent multi-company training makes it easier for firemen to respond to crises as a team. The meeting reaffirmed the District 3 departments' commitment to provide efficient emergency services to the Bridgewater community and improved departmental collaboration.
