Bound Brook Graduate Completed Firefighter I Training

Bound Brook, N.J. — June 18 — After graduating from Bound Brook High School, Kiernan Pareja, a member of Engine Company 23, received recognition from the Bound Brook Fire Department. In addition to receiving his diploma, Pareja successfully finished the Somerset County Emergency Services Training Academy's Firefighter I curriculum while juggling his obligations as a student-athlete. Entry-level training in fire suppression, search and rescue, firefighter safety, hazardous materials awareness, and emergency operations is offered via the Firefighter I certification.


Members of the department praised his commitment to public service and education, pointing out that he has already established himself as a respected team member. His achievement demonstrated the department's dedication to assisting new volunteers and training the upcoming generation of firemen to provide competent and professional service to the Bound Brook community.
