Fire Service Community Honors Chief Ricke Casterlin

Chenango Forks, N.Y. — June 15 — Former Chief Ricke Casterlin passed away due to sickness, and the Chenango Forks Fire Company is in sorrow. Over the course of his more than thirty years with the department, Casterlin held a number of leadership positions and assisted in mentoring future generations of firefighters. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force and was well-known for his dedication to training, helping others, and serving the public.


In recognition of his years of service and contributions to the emergency services community, fire departments throughout the area sent their condolences. The agency requested the community to remember the Casterlin family during this trying time and offered its condolences.
