Chenango Fire Company Mourns Chief Ricke Casterlin

Binghamton, N.Y. — June 15 — Fire Chief Ricke Casterlin, a well-liked employee who worked for the department for more than 30 years, passed away, according to Chenango Fire Company Inc., located at 86 Castle Creek Road. Chief Casterlin served the Chenango community, supported firefighter training, and held a number of leadership positions during his tenure.


He fought cancer for six years before passing away at the age of 55, according to his obituary. throughout remembrance of his years of service and leadership, fire departments throughout Broome County and other towns sent their condolences. Through the firemen he trained and the community he devotedly served, Chief Casterlin leaves a lasting legacy.
