This article is a direct street report from our correspondent and has not been edited by the 1st Responder newsroom.

Harrison Fire & Rescue personnel held their monthly training session on June 9th, with an emphasis on pump and wet hydrant operations.

According to officials, firefighters practiced setting up water supplies from wet hydrants and running fire apparatus pumps to provide a steady supply of water during emergency situations. Essential abilities for responding to structure fires and other firefighting operations were reinforced during the training.

When workers were called to a car fire on Naples Road, the meeting was cut short. After responding to the event, Rescue 85, Engine 82, and Engine 83 went back to finish department operations.
