Avon, CT - Avon Volunteer Fire Department members completed a training course focused on vehicle lifting and stabilization techniques through Connecticut Custom Fire Training LLC.

Firefighters worked through classroom instruction and hands-on scenarios using equipment carried on their apparatus, including cribbing, air bags, struts, hydraulics, chains, slings, and straps. The training reinforced practical skills used during vehicle rescue operations and emergency stabilization.

The department emphasized that ongoing preparation is essential for effective emergency response, and thanked several local partners for supporting the training by providing equipment and resources.
