To improve emergency response and water rescue skills, Ansonia Fire Department personnel trained in maritime operations onboard maritime 1 on June 7.

Firefighters reviewed boat operations, equipment handling, and coordinated response procedures while working on the water throughout the day, according to officials. Members had the chance to strengthen the abilities required for water-related crises and make sure Marine 1 is always prepared for duty thanks to the practical training.
