Thomaston, CT. — May 25 — In observance of Memorial Day, the Thomaston Volunteer Fire Department paid tribute to the American military personnel who lost their lives while serving their country. Additionally, the department honored current and previous members who performed emergency and military service for the country and the Thomaston community. Veterans, first responders, civic officials, and locals gathered throughout Connecticut for Memorial Day celebrations to honor those who gave their lives.

In addition to acknowledging the enduring bond between military service and the emergency services community, department members participated in the yearly commemoration by considering the service and commitment of the fallen. Their dedication was still appreciated and respected.
