Young Firefighters Competed at Regional Muster

Northfield, CT. — May 30 — Young firemen from all across the area came together for a Junior Firefighter Muster organized by Northfield Volunteer Fire Company and the Thomaston Volunteer Fire Department. Eight junior departments and roughly 25 individuals between the ages of 14 and 17 attended the event despite the chilly and rainy weather. In order to improve their collaboration, communication, and fire service skills, the juniors participated in friendly tournaments.


According to the event's organizers, participants were able to network with colleagues from different departments and gain useful experience. The development of future firefighters is still facilitated via junior firefighter programs. Every participant received recognition for their involvement and hard work.
