New Canaan, CT. — May 26 — Trevor became the newest member of New Canaan Fire Co. No. 1. Trevor had a close family connection to the fire department when he joined the unit. Before joining the New Canaan Fire Department in 2014, his father started fighting fires in St. Louis in 1998.

He has held leadership positions ever since, including lieutenant, and in October he received a promotion to captain. Trevor's accession, according to department officials, demonstrates the continued significance of hiring and educating the upcoming generation of firefighters. As Trevor was introduced to the firefighters, he was photographed with his father.
