Morris Community Gathered to Honor Fallen Service Members

MORRIS, CT. — May 25 — Together with locals, veterans, and organizations, the Morris Fire Company took part in the community's yearly Memorial Day Parade to remember military personnel who lost their lives while serving their country. Community people came together for a day of meditation and commemoration during the procession. The department honored the winners of its yearly Bicycle Decorating Contest after the event, a custom that still promotes community service and family involvement.


Memorial Day celebrations throughout the area offer a chance to honor those who gave their lives while fostering ties throughout the community. Every year, the Morris celebration blended commemoration, community involvement, and enduring customs that are still significant to locals.
