Members of the Somers Fire Department attended a training session on June 15th that concentrated on two essential fireground skills: ladder deployment and hose line deployment.

In order to ensure that crews can swiftly and effectively put fire streams into service during emergency situations, officials said firemen examined appropriate methods for deploying and advancing hoselines. In order to reinforce safe and efficient placement techniques utilized during fire suppression, rescue, and ventilation operations, members also rehearsed ladder deployment.
