The Hebron Fire Department organized and conducted a two-day Basic Pump Operator Program for department staff and nearby mutual assistance partners on June 4.

According to officials, the training taught firemen and apparatus operators how to operate pumps, manage water supplies, and operate firefighting equipment safely. Additionally, the program improved participants' acquaintance with local resources by providing training on a range of equipment from several agencies.

The program featured representatives from the Andover Fire Department, Bolton Volunteer Fire Department, Glastonbury Fire Department, and Marlborough Volunteer Fire Department.
