Bantam Fire Company Conducted Vehicle Extrication Training

Bantam, Conn. — May 21 — In order to improve their rescue abilities after auto accidents, members of the Bantam Fire Company took part in a vehicle extrication training program. In a controlled training setting, firefighters performed patient access, vehicle stabilization, and hydraulic rescue tool use. The exercise emphasized cooperation, communication, and safe rescue techniques that are frequently employed when people are stuck inside damaged cars.


For many fire companies, vehicle extrication is still a crucial duty, especially on busy roads where prompt and coordinated response is crucial. Frequent training keeps firefighters proficient with specialized tools and methods.
