Hughestown EMS Provides Medical Coverage at NASCAR Race Weekend

This article is a direct street report from our correspondent and has not been edited by the 1st Responder newsroom.

Hughestown Emergency Services personnel collaborated with the Lehigh Valley Health Network Event Medical Division once more during the second week of June to offer emergency medical coverage at Pocono Raceway during NASCAR race weekend.

One of the department's staffed ambulances was assigned to the racetrack, according to officials. It operated in the Pocono Infield before helping at the Lehigh Valley Health Network Grandstand Field Hospital. Pocono Raceway becomes one of Pennsylvania's biggest temporary population hubs during race weekend, necessitating the use of substantial emergency medical resources to assist participants.

Ambulances 543-1 and 543-2 remained in operation to safeguard citizens and support mutual assistance partners, even though the department committed an ambulance to the event.
