Hughestown Emergency Services personnel were on standby for the Pittston Township Fire Department Picnic Fireworks Display on June 14.

Officials said Chief 143, Engine 143, Brush 143, and Ambulance 543-2 were assigned to the event to ensure emergency resources were immediately available throughout the fireworks performance. Attendees and event planners benefited from an extra degree of security thanks to the standby assignment.
