Windsor Fire Department Mourns Loss of Former Chief

Windsor, N.Y. — June 17 — Chief Ricke Casterlin, a well-respected member of the local fire service community, passed away after a protracted illness, according to the Windsor Fire Department. Casterlin's leadership, dedication, and years of devotion to Windsor residents were acknowledged by department colleagues. He coached firemen, assisted with emergency operations, and remained committed to the department's purpose throughout his career.


The Windsor Fire Department, located at 4 Academy St., continues to provide emergency response and fire protection services to the community. While acknowledging Chief Casterlin's enduring contributions to the department and the fire service, members offered their sympathies to the Casterlin family.
