Binghamton, N.Y. — May 25 — In observance of Memorial Day, the Broome County Office of Emergency Services paid tribute to US military personnel who died while serving their country. The yearly event served as a reminder of the sacrifices made by soldiers over the course of the nation's history. The families, friends, and fellow service members who continue to uphold their legacy were also honored by officials.

Located at 153 Lt. VanWinkle Drive, the organization collaborated with local communities around the country to consider the significance of the event. The event emphasized the value of honoring those who lost their lives while serving in the military and acknowledging the liberties that their commitment helped preserve for coming generations.
