New Tools and Lights Added at Shawnee Valley

Schellsburg, PA. — May 22 — The Scott Foundation awarded Shawnee Valley Volunteer Fire Company a $3,500 grant to buy new Milwaukee power tools and scene lighting equipment for emergency operations. During vehicle rescues, fireground operations, and other situations where dependable tools and lights are crucial, the equipment will assist firefighters. According to department officials, the changes will assist worker safety on emergency scenes while enhancing efficiency and operational readiness.
The department, which is situated at 3885 Pitt St., offers emergency and fire services to Schellsburg and the surrounding areas. The funding emphasizes the value of community collaborations that support volunteer agencies in keeping up-to-date equipment and emergency response readiness.
