Hinsdale Firefighters Honor Fallen Members Ahead of Memorial Day

Members of the Hinsdale Volunteer Fire Department carried on a long-standing Memorial Day custom on May 24 by erecting memorial flags at the graves of department members who had passed away.


According to officials, the yearly initiative honors firefighters whose commitment, selflessness, and service have shaped the department throughout the years. Additionally, members took the time to honor current and former firefighters who served in the US military before continuing to serve their community through the fire department.
