After completing their 1,000-mile bicycle ride from Jacksonville, Florida, participants in the Wounded Warrior Project Soldier Ride 250 to Engine 10/Ladder 10 in Manhattan were greeted by members of the City of New York Fire Department on May 29.
According to officials, the ride brought together injured warriors from all around the nation and demonstrated how cycling can benefit in mental, emotional, and physical healing. The occasion raised awareness of the difficulties experienced by injured service members while honoring the participants' tenacity and resolve.
A closing ceremony was held at Ten House to recognize the riders’ accomplishments and honor their military service. FDNY members joined supporters in applauding the veterans for their dedication, resilience, and commitment throughout the journey.
